KIDS & TEENS MANAGER
About this role
YOUR ROLE:
The Kids & Teens Manager has overall responsibility for delivery and management for all Kids and Teen functions and programming throughout the Kids and Teens Facilities and delivering a ‘Remarkably Arabian’ experience to our guests. To ensure the Kids & Teens programming is designed specifically for children to enjoy various activities, socialize, learn, and grow in a safe and engaging environment.
You would be responsible for all the tailored Kids and Teens areas our “Sailors Shore” and “Teens Escape” where we will provide safe, fun filled and age appropriate activities for children aged between 6mnths – 2 (The Nursery) 3-6 (The Dreamers), 7-12 (The Explorers), 9-17 (Teens Club) years old.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning, implementation and development of our Kids and Teens activity programme offering.

Oversees the assignment of duties, responsibilities and schedules of staff and activities.

Oversees all Kids & Teens programming, daily activities and quality in all venues.

Works collaboratively with other Hotel Officers to maintain quality and maximise profit.

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely administration and reporting for the Youth & Teen department.

Provides the Broadcast Manager with information for the digital signage and daily programme.

Responsible for delivering on Kids & Teens equipment and consumables budgets.

Frequently engages with Live Business Account Manager ashore and provides feedback and suggestions to increase Guest satisfaction.

Responsible for investigating and resolving Kids & Teens programme quality and service complaints in a timely fashion and notifies Hotel General Manager of such.

Mentors and develops the Kids & Teens Supervisor and team, providing on-the-job training

Maintains positive relations with all Guests and ensures interaction at every opportunity.

Ensuring the safety and supervision of all children participating in our activity programme.

Follow and implement all ship Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Company/Ships Manual.

Adhere to all Safeguarding policies and procedures and report any concerns immediately.

Implement and develop all activities that are outlined in the Activity Programme. Meeting and where possible exceeding our guest expectations.

Learn and deliver our additional family Activities, helping to achieve onboard revenue targets.

Ensuring that the Kids and Teens areas are kept safe and hygienic, that the areas are cleaned & organised as per standards established at the end of each shift

Be a good positive role model and ensure a safe cruise experience for young guests.

communicate with parents/Guardians in a positive and professional manner.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:

Prepare appraisals for individuals under their remit in accordance with policies.

Attends Guest functions as required by Head of Department.

Partake in inspections, trainings and meetings as required by Head of Department.

Participate in embarkation and emergency procedures.

Ensures that the set standards are kept, and staff members work according to their respective job descriptions.

Lead and Motivate using the Aroya Leadership Model.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
-
Previous experience as a Kids and/or Teens Manager managing a team within the Education or Entertainment sectors
-
Full & relevant level 3 diploma in childcare & education or a degree in an educational field or PGCE with QTS (or equivalent) International equivalent to degree or level 3 Diploma
-
1+ year practical experience working with Kids/Teens after achieving your relevant childcare qualification

Safeguarding knowledge

Clear DBS/Police check national and international

Proven people skills along with conflict resolution, counselling, mediating and motivational skills.

All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.

Good command of the English Language, knowledge of the Arabic language is beneficial.
