What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a skilled and dependable culinary professional who takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality food in a refined, fast-paced environment. This individual values teamwork, attention to detail, and execution at a high standard. Experience in upscale dining, private clubs, or resort-style operations is strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare and execute menu items according to standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines established by the culinary leadership team.
Work efficiently across multiple stations as assigned, including grill, sauté, pantry, and garde manger.
Ensure all food items are prepared, cooked, and plated to consistently high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of assigned workstation throughout service.
Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures in compliance with health and safety standards.
Assist with daily prep work, including chopping, portioning, sauces, proteins, and other mise en place as needed.
Collaborate with fellow cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely service during peak periods.
Communicate effectively with expeditors, chefs, and front-of-house team members regarding ticket timing and order accuracy.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries while maintaining proper inventory organization and rotation (FIFO).
Support banquet, a la carte, and special event service as required.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a private club environment.
Contribute to a culture of consistency, respect, and culinary excellence.

Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume or upscale dining environment.
Experience in country club, hotel, or fine dining kitchen preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and food preparation methods.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
Ability to work multiple stations in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality.
Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with culinary leadership and team members.
Serv Safe Food Handler certification preferred or required within 30 days of hire.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, and repetitive motion.
Ability to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen environments.
Manual dexterity and coordination required for knife work and food preparation.

Shift Times

Leonard's: Tuesday - Sunday, 1:30pm - 9:30pm
Hawk's: Wednesday - Saturday, 1:30pm - 9:30pm
