About this role

  • Provide clerical support in the Office of International programs and assists students in a friendly and professional manner. 
  • Supports OIP programming including international student orientation, workshops, student activities and special events.
  • Maintain a welcoming presence for students in the Office of International programs
  • General office support, such as filing, record keeping, etc.
  • Answer phones and transfer to appropriate staff member, distribute phone and email messages and student inquiries
  • Complete errands around campus and in Duluth
  • Assist with web page and social media maintenance 
  • Support Office of International Programs programming (international student orientation, student activities, education abroad fair, workshops, etc)Provide input and suggestions for Office programming and student support
  • Design print materials and draft communication for the Office
  • Keep office area clean and organized, organize supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Required Qualifications 
  • Must be a current or incoming CSS student 
  • Federal work study eligibility is required. 
  • Desire to work with and for International students on campus. 
  • Computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a friendly, professional manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with US immigration systems and/or experience living and/or studying abroad
  • Ability to start 2 weeks before the start of the Fall semester
  • U.S. Drivers license required with eligibility to be a college-approved driver
  • Experience with MS Office, Google Workspace and SCT/Banner or similar integrated software system
