Overview

The Business Development Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the firm’s corporate and transactional Business Development (BD) teams in the Americas. This role focuses on assisting with the coordination, data management, and execution of business development activities and provides an excellent introduction to the world of corporate, finance, and legal business development. The BD Assistant will have the opportunity to work with various managers and will report directly into the Global Business Development Director of Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage data and internal reporting across various systems and processes, such as the firm’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, pitch and experience tracking databases, and mailing lists, to ensure information is current and accessible.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of meetings, prepare meeting agendas, distribute materials, and track action items.
  • Assist in the preparation of pitch materials and other marketing collateral, including updating and maintaining a library of past and current documents, conducting basic research, and providing support with formatting and proofreading.
  • Support with the coordination and logistics of client-facing events, webinars, sponsorships, and internal seminars, in collaboration with the Events team.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective operation of daily BD activities.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed, ensuring their timely and accurate execution.

Qualifications

  • This entry-level position requires a high-energy and motivated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Flexibility to monitor emails outside regular business hours and respond to urgent requests when necessary.
  • Interest in continuous learning and development opportunities.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus, but not required.

 

**This role has the ability to work remotely a maximum of two days per week, in lieu of working onsite. The Firm may designate the specific days you are required to work onsite. This policy is subject to change.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, and performance. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
