At Classic Rock Fabrication, we're looking for a Stone Finishing Technician to help transform beautiful stone slabs into countertops that become the centerpiece of kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial spaces throughout our region.

Let's be upfront: this is not a desk job. You'll spend your day on our production floor using a water-fed grinder and other hand tools to polish and perfect stone surfaces. The work is physical, fast-paced, and requires attention to detail. If you enjoy seeing the direct results of your hard work and take satisfaction in a job done right, you'll fit right in.

Available Shifts

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM | +$2.00/hour Shift Differential
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM | +$2.00/hour Shift Differential

What You'll Do

Polish countertop edges, splashes, and surfaces to create a flawless finish
Read and interpret fabrication drawings
Use pneumatic hand tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively
Identify and correct quality issues before products move to the next stage
Assist with repairs and custom fabrication projects as needed
Keep your work area clean, organized, and efficient
Work closely with your teammates to meet production schedules and quality standards
Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe workplace

The Work Environment

This role is performed in an indoor manufacturing facility where:

You'll be on your feet and moving throughout the day
Noise levels can be loud, and appropriate hearing protection is provided
Safety equipment, including steel-toe boots, eye protection, and hearing protection, is required
Temperatures can vary with the seasons

QualificationsMathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to accurately read a standard tape measure to the nearest 1/16 inch.

Language Skills

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write basic correspondence.

Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with supervisors and coworkers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form.

Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.

Three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
