Casual Electrician | Bowen Basin

About the role 

Civeo Facility Management (part of Civeo Corporation) is seeking qualified Electricians to join our casual relief workforce across Queensland.

These positions are specifically designed to provide leave coverage across our village network and form part of a genuine casual talent pool. Work is offered as operational requirements arise, primarily to cover annual leave, roster gaps and other planned absences across our sites.

While coverage opportunities may be recurring throughout the year, these roles are not casual-to-permanent positions and there is no guarantee of ongoing or full-time employment.

We aim to work around your availability, with assignments typically operating on 7-day swing patterns.

This is a hands-on role where you'll spend your time in the field, travelling across multiple remote mining villages including Coppabella, Nebo, Dysart, Moranbah and surrounding locations.

Key responsibilities 

• Deliver planned, preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance 
• Fault-find and repair electrical systems safely and efficiently 
• Install, test and maintain wiring and equipment 
• Inspect for defects, hazards and compliance 
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate with contractors 
• Support site maintenance and uphold strong safety standards 
• Participate in on-call/after-hours while on swing 

About you 

• Trade qualified Electrician with a current Queensland Electrical Work Licence

• Current Australian C Class (manual) Driver's Licence
• Current LVR/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain and maintain annually) 
• Demonstrated experience in reactive and preventative maintenance, fault finding and electrical repairs 
• Previous experience in remote villages, mining, facilities, or high-volume service environments is highly regarded  
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team 
• Committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive and high-performing work environment 
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and National Police Clearance 
• Valid working rights within Australia

• $70–$90 per hour + super (based on skills and experience)
