Army C-UAS SETA Incumbent Opportunities
CIS Secure Services is seeking qualified incumbent personnel to support the Army’s Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) mission at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
We anticipate filling positions across systems engineering, test and evaluation, system assurance, and cybersecurity. This posting is intended to identify experienced personnel who may be aligned with specific labor categories as final staffing requirements become available.
The C-UAS SETA mission supports the planning, coordination, development, testing, fielding, and sustainment of integrated sensors, effectors, and mission command systems designed to detect and defeat Group 1, 2, and 3 unmanned aircraft systems.
Candidates may be considered for opportunities within the following functional areas:
- Systems Engineering Support: Requirements analysis, systems integration, architecture development, technical documentation, configuration management, and system-of-systems engineering.
- Test and Evaluation Support: Test planning, execution, data collection, analysis, reporting, operational assessments, and verification of C-UAS capabilities.
- System Assurance Support: Risk management, system safety, reliability, quality assurance, compliance, and evaluation of system performance throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Cybersecurity Support: Cybersecurity engineering, risk management framework activities, system authorization, vulnerability assessment, information assurance, and protection of mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities and qualifications will vary based on the specific labor category and assigned position. Candidates will be evaluated and aligned with appropriate opportunities based on their current responsibilities, technical background, education, experience, and qualifications.
These positions are contingent upon completion of the contract protest period, final contract requirements, customer approval, and position availability.
Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned labor category, responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the development and evaluation of C-UAS requirements, capabilities, and system architectures.
- Providing technical and analytical support throughout the systems engineering and acquisition lifecycle.
- Planning, coordinating, executing, and documenting developmental and operational test activities.
- Evaluating system performance, interoperability, reliability, safety, and mission effectiveness.
- Supporting cybersecurity engineering, system authorization, vulnerability management, and risk-management activities.
- Preparing technical reports, briefings, assessments, recommendations, and other program documentation.
- Collaborating with government customers, military personnel, engineers, program managers, and industry partners.
- Supporting the development, testing, fielding, and sustainment of C-UAS technologies and capabilities.
- Providing subject-matter expertise within the candidate’s assigned technical or program area.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Current or previous experience supporting Army C-UAS efforts, related defense programs, or comparable mission requirements.
- Relevant experience in systems engineering, test and evaluation, system assurance, cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to work effectively with government customers, military personnel, contractors, and cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and present technical information, findings, and recommendations.
- Active U.S. security clearance.
Desired Skills
- Current experience supporting the Army C-UAS SETA mission at Redstone Arsenal.
- Knowledge of Group 1, 2, and 3 UAS threats and C-UAS technologies.
- Experience supporting Army acquisition, engineering, testing, fielding, or sustainment activities.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense systems engineering and acquisition processes.
- Experience supporting integrated sensors, effectors, and mission command systems.
- Familiarity with Redstone Arsenal organizations, customers, and mission requirements.
Security Clearance
An active U.S. security clearance is required.
Education
Education requirements will vary based on the applicable labor category and position. Relevant professional experience, certifications, and specialized training may be considered where permitted by contract requirements.

The anticipated salary range for these opportunities is $67,320 to $143,990 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on the applicable labor category, position requirements, experience, education, qualifications, security clearance, and other job-related factors.
