About this role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Assist in the repairs of components located on U.S. Naval vessels and repair centers
-Remove and replace various model pumps & valves that are attached and electric
-Must fabricate, assemble, and test pumps and valves per customer requirements to ensure repair work meets specifications
-Assist in rigging of equipment throughout the ship and maintain safety certifications for related equipment
-Disassemble, assemble, clean, inspect equipment using special tooling, measuring devices and visual inspection procedures
-Troubleshooting problems to determine root cause
-Install, align and op-test repaired equipment
-Assist in reviewing parts inventory by checking stock

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

-Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly and repair work
-Must be able to lift 50 to 75lbs and navigate throughout a ship
-Prior experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
-Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications helpful
-50% travel required
-U.S. citizenship required, no dual citizenship

 

Education & Experience

-Valid Driver's license a must 3+ years experience in a repair environment preferably in a shipyard
-High school diploma or equivalent required, associates degree, vocational or technical training preferred
