Position Location
This position is located in Chesapeake, VA.
Pay range is $17-$22/hour.
Job Overview
This position provides all aspects of system administrator support for the customers IT systems both on and off site required.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
• Install and maintain operating and systems software
• Manage system configuration
• Monitor compliance
• Evaluate software and hardware
• Administer and maintain user account and profiles
• Perform troubleshooting
• Provide IA technical support
• Assist with assurance testing
• Other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
• Keep managers and supervisors appraised of their progress
• Ability to work well with others
• Adhere to contract requirements and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Ability to travel and work independently
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
• Must be a US citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
• A current System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or equivalent certification.
• Certificate from an accredited Community or Technical College in System Administration and two (2) years of system administration experience.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or Network Engineering or certificate from an accredited Community or Technical College in System Administration
Working Conditions:
• Must be able to work both remotely and on customer site.
• Occasional travel will be necessary.
Physical Requirements:
• This role is largely sedentary
