Join our rehabilitation team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) providing services within a Skilled Nursing Facility in Daingerfield, Texas.

In this role, you’ll work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength, mobility, function, and independence following illness, injury, surgery, or changes in physical ability. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate PTA who enjoys building relationships with patients and seeing their progress firsthand.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, manual techniques, and approved treatment modalities
• Assist patients with improving strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and overall physical function
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Accurately document treatments and patient progress according to company and regulatory guidelines
• Educate patients and families on exercises, assistive devices, safety, and strategies to promote continued independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean treatment environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Texas
• Current AHA CPR certification
• Valid driver's license
• Valid auto insurance
• Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or home health experience preferred
• HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) experience preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, crawl, squat, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, or push up to 100 lbs. as required to safely assist patients
