Description
The Partner serves as a key leader within both the legal and business operations of the firm, overseeing complex litigation matters while mentoring attorneys, leading teams, and supporting strategic and operational initiatives. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for professional growth and leadership development within our expanding Construction Defect practice.
Partners are responsible for providing trusted legal counsel to clients, advocating on their behalf in court and administrative proceedings, and developing case strategies grounded in a deep understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and industry trends. In addition to legal responsibilities, Partners play an integral role in shaping the firm's future through involvement in recruiting and talent development, financial planning and budgeting, regulatory compliance, business development, and overall firm strategy. Through their leadership, Partners help drive the continued success, growth, and excellence of the organization.
Primary Job Duties:
- Manage a diverse caseload involving construction litigation and related disputes.
- Represent owners, general contractors, subcontractors, developers, architects, engineers, and insurers in state and federal courts.
- Handle matters involving construction defects, contract disputes, delay claims, payment disputes, mechanic's liens, and indemnity issues.
- Draft and argue motions, conduct legal research, manage discovery, and prepare cases for trial.
- Take and defend depositions, attend mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
- Review, negotiate, and draft construction contracts and related agreements.
- Provide strategic legal advice and risk management counseling to clients throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.
- Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups to deliver effective legal solutions.
- Participate in business development and networking initiatives to support practice growth.
- Annual billable amount of 1950 hours required

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Georgia Bar and good standing status.
- Minimum of 5 years of construction law and/or construction litigation experience.
- Strong litigation and case management skills.
- Experience handling depositions, mediations, and motion practice.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and client relationship skills.
