ABOUT THE JOB

Ceva-Phylaxia seeks applicants for the full-time position of Senior R&D Project Operations Lead in the Global Portfolio & Project Management Office of Ceva's Phylaxia Campus in Budapest's 10th district.

The Phylaxia Campus is one of the flagship sites of Ceva Animal Health group. The Global Portfolio & Project Management Office has the mission to strengthen Ceva's portfolio, project, and finance management capabilities, and to raise our standards of operational excellence across all domains. As our organization continues to evolve, we are looking for a seasoned professional who can bring both structure and agility to our growing PMO function.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Global Bio Portfolio Manager, you will take a leading role in shaping and elevating project management standards, driving best practices, and ensuring robust consolidation of project data across the portfolio. Beyond operational delivery, you will act as a trusted reference point for project managers and a key contributor to our organizational transformation.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Lead the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of project management standards, processes, and procedures across the portfolio scope.
  • Ensure coherent consolidation of all projects, including project valorization, by maintaining a high level of rigor and consistency across reporting frameworks.
  • Own and develop the project portfolio management (PPM) tool for your scope — generating live dashboards, portfolio indicators, and dynamic views with advanced filters and sortings.
  • Act as a change agent within the PMO: proactively identify gaps, propose improvements, and drive adoption of new practices in a fast-evolving organizational environment.
  • Collaborate closely with other PMO coordinators to harmonize practices, share learnings, and build a cohesive PMO community across the organization.
  • Coach and mentor project managers to report consistently and accurately, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.
  • Serve as a bridge between strategic portfolio needs and day-to-day operational realities, staying closely connected to team dynamics and ground-level challenges.

Your profile :

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biology, or Project Management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment, with demonstrated exposure to project or
  • portfolio management roles
  • Proven ability to lead without formal authority — influencing stakeholders, guiding peers, and driving alignment across
  • cross-functional teams
  • Strong track record of operating effectively in complex, changing organizations, with the resilience and flexibility to adapt
  • to shifting priorities and structures
  • Hands-on experience with PPM tools; proficiency in Smartsheet and the Microsoft suite is highly valued
  • Hungarian native or fluent, English fluent (written and spoken). French is a strong advantage.
