Position Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining high standards in all Lounge services and operations and maximizing customer service.


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Previous cleaning experience.
  • Seek opportunities to create memories by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and building relationships.
  • Ensure overall member satisfaction.
  • Ability to work any day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Uses damp, disinfectant-treated cloths and vacuum cleaner to dust windowsills, blinds, floors, furniture, and equipment in an orderly fashion.
  • Gathers and disposes of trash, washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers, and relines with plastic bags.
  • Strips and refinishes floors as necessary. May be called upon to wash outside windows and screens.
  • Replenishes supplies of soap, towels, and other dispensable items within the club.
  • Removes soiled linens from all areas.
  • Provide seamless service: picking up and cleaning after each member and guest use of the facilities
  • Ensure safety for guests by keeping wet and dry area floors clean and dry
  • Ensure consistent comfortable water and steam room temperatures.
  • Inform supervisor of all guest/member complaints and suggestions promptly.


PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS


  • Must be able to endure long hours of continuous work
  • Physical effort required is standing, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Must know how to use common housecleaning implements, such as mops, floor waxes, and scouring pads, to keep areas clean and well serviced.
  • Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
