Salary: $18.15 to $30.20/hourly rate dependent on level of education

Summary of responsibilities:

The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) requires a motivated and innovative student to join the Service Delivery Team in Calgary as a Student, Service Delivery. Reporting to the General Manager, Service Delivery, Prairies, the student will assist the team in the day-to-day administrative requirements.

The Student, Service Delivery will be required to:

· Provide administrative services, including planning logistics support for management meetings, documenting records of decisions/minutes and following-up on pending issues.

· Conduct background research as well as consolidate data into reports.

· Organize and prepare a variety of documents, reports and presentations utilizing a personal computer and associated word processing software.

· Implement, monitor and identify areas for improvement with respect to administrative processes, filing, tracking

· Track and maintain data on various activities, projects and initiatives, to ensure action items are addressed within established deadlines.

· Coordinate travel arrangements such as flight, hotel and car rental, prepare and process travel & hospitality claims as well as process invoices, as necessary.

What you need to succeed:
To qualify for the position, you must have:

· Enrolled in a degree or diploma from a recognized university or college with a specialization in Administration or a related field relevant to the duties of the position.

· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;

· Ability to quickly react to requests, with the capability to reprioritize initiatives in order to provide solutions to challenges.

Knowledge and Abilities:

The ideal candidate must:

· Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, such as invoice reconciliation, minute taking, copying, and scheduling meetings.

· Draft briefing materials, reports and presentations;

· Perform data analysis;

· Research;

Valuable skills include:

· Knowledge of CATSA’s organizational structure, mandate, priorities, operating environment and its interrelationships with other internal/external government and industry stakeholders will be considered an asset;

· Advanced verbal and written communication skills;

· Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;

· Consistent ability to set and deliver against a work plan in a fast-paced environment;

· Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:

· Be eligible to obtain and maintain a reliability security clearance;

· Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student; and

· Be returning to full-time or part-time studies in the next academic year.
