Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County (CCSCC) is dedicated to serving and advocating for individuals and families in need, particularly those living in poverty. The agency offers a wide range of services, including food assistance, supportive housing, access to benefits, senior services, and behavioral health care, impacting over 100,000 individuals annually through more than 40 programs across 84 sites, with a budget exceeding $50 million. We use data to better understand our programs, measure impact, and improve services.


Role Overview
This paid internship supports the Chief Operation Officer Team in advancing agency-wide programs and initiatives, including community events, and process improvement projects. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to how large, multi-site nonprofit plans, coordinates, and documents its work.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the internship, the student will:
• Develop creative marketing and outreach materials for agency programs and events
• Support outreach to community members and partners for organization events
• Help organize and streamline day-to-day operations
• Gain experience contributing to program documentation and training resources

Responsibilities

Working closely with the COO Team, the intern will:
• Support the development and organization of training materials and documentation for agency programs
• Assist with planning and outreach for community events, including logistics and promotional materials
• Help maintain and organize program policies, procedures, and reference documents
• Support data entry, tracking, and light data organization in Excel, MS365
• Assist with administrative and coordination tasks across multiple concurrent projects
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements


Qualifications
Required
• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
• Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets
• Willingness to learn and ask questions


Time Commitment & Structure
• Approximately 15-20 hours per week
• Flexible, ongoing structure
