Responsibilities

The Program Associate will insures a safe, secure, comfortable, and supportive environment in a manner consistent with the philosophy, policies, and procedures of a low barrier approach to care for homeless individuals.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Complete client assessment and advocate for clients to suggest appropriate programs and services. Explain and maintain Warming Center policies and procedures. Respond to client emergencies and notify appropriate personnel in a timely fashion. Provide ongoing support to the Warming Center, in conjunction with both CCIC/CCMS. Light cleaning following each shift to ensure space is ready for future use.

 

This is a per-diem position. Pay rate is $18.50 per hour. 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. with up to three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience working with homeless population preferred.

 

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client’s homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals. Mobility sufficient to work in an office environment. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment including machines. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
