Positions available across the Portland Metro area, including Portland, Tigard, Wilsonville, Oregon City, and Gladstone.

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in people's lives? Do you believe in a strengths-based, client-centered approach to mental health? If so, we invite you to join Cascadia Health as a Mental Health Aide Float, supporting our residential and staffed housing programs throughout the Portland Metro area.

This model offers additional flexibility, broader experience across programs, and an additional $1.00/hour Float Differential.

Mission

Cascadia Health delivers whole health care through integrated mental health and addiction services, primary care, and housing to promote hope and support the well-being of the communities we serve.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Aide, you will play a key role in supporting individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness by implementing treatment plans, providing therapeutic support, and helping residents develop skills that increase independence and quality of life.

You will work collaboratively with treatment teams while helping create a safe, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment for residents.

Float Scheduling Model

Mental Health Aide Float employees are hired into a shift window rather than a fixed shift schedule. Employees work a regular 8-hour shift within one of the following windows:

  • Day Window: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Swing Window: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • NOC Window: 9:30 PM - 8:30 AM

Your assigned schedule will be established within your shift window based on program and staffing needs. Start and end times may vary, and occasional schedule adjustments may be necessary to support operations. This approach provides greater flexibility for Cascadia while helping ensure consistent coverage across Cascadia's staffed housing programs.

  • Assisting with documentation, treatment planning, and program operations.
  • Maintaining compliance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Supporting multiple staffed housing programs as operational needs require.
