Carolina Ophthalmology is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina with primary offices in Hendersonville, Asheville, Skyland and Columbus, NC and satellite offices in Spruce Pine and Waynesville. The Practice is composed of 10 physicians and approximately 85 employees. What would you do as a Scheduling Coordinator
Carolina Ophthalmology, PA is seeking a highly motivated Surgery Scheduling Coordinator for our fast-paced ophthalmology practice in Asheville, NC. In this pivotal role, you will counsel and coordinate surgical services to support our highly-skilled physicians. Your responsibilities will include conducting private conversations with patients and their families, ensuring seamless scheduling of surgeries and post-operative visits, and collaborating with hospitals and co-managing physicians.
You will also be responsible for patient counseling on procedural steps and financial requirements, obtaining electronic signatures for consents, and preparing surgery charts efficiently. Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential, with a keen attention to detail. Prior medical office experience, insurance knowledge, and surgery scheduling expertise are preferred.
