The 19th Hole Assistant Manager is responsible for the management of the 19th Hole to include men’s locker room in a professional and friendly manner ensuring that member’s satisfaction standards are consistently attained. Supervises F&B employees and assists with staff training and development. Applies hospitality principles to ensure the wants and needs of club members and guests are consistently exceeded. Maintains order, sanitation and cleanliness throughout the Club and its outlets. This position will embody the Carolina Country Club Mission Statement and Absolutes.

Job Functions include

Greets members and guests by name.
Responsible for knowing the menu and suggests daily specials..
Receives and reviews daily BEO’s.
Coordinates food service between kitchen and service staff.
Inspects all linens daily for proper appearance.
Oversees and maintains all service ware items.
Ensures that revenue control procedures are continually followed.
Interviews applicants, trains, schedules, supervises and evaluates service & locker room staff.
Incorporates hospitality initiatives daily with staff
Participates in recognizing staff for the Absolutes & Essential Piece Program, regular positive feedback in creating a positive culture
Inspects dining room, bar area, and locker room to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
For special functions or events, provides layout and design recommendations to applicable managers.
Suggests dining room decorations for special themes.
Ensures that pre-opening and closing cleaning tasks are assigned and completed as required.
Assists with service of food and beverages in outlets and for special functions when needed.
Assists with table clearing and re-setting as needed.
Suggests to management when additional service supplies and small equipment are needed.
Follows and enforces established Club rules, regulations and policies.
Completes and turns in “end of shift” and day reports.
Maintains a flexible work schedule catering to the needs of the department
Assists in inventory needs for all areas of responsibility
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and stocking snack self service stations
Maintain appropriate inventory levels of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage products and is properly secured.
Assists and or conducts pre-service employee briefings (line-up meetings).
Ensures that local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
Completes and/or delegates other appropriate assignments and projects as required.
Speak with others using clear and professional language, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Create a high level of moral and atmosphere of Platinum Service within the F&B department, developing a good working relationship with other departments through cooperation and professionalism.
Professionally and quickly handles complaints from club members and guests.
Stays alert and promptly reports accidents, injuries, maintenance issues, suspicious activity and unsafe work conditions to management.
Completes required computer-based courses, North Carolina Alcohol Beverage Control rules and regulations and participates regularly in member name game.

Physical & Personal Requirements

Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
Capable of lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds or more.
Capable of standing and maneuvering independently and safely around the work area.
Capable of standing on a tile floor for an eight-hour shift.
Ability to see and hear, or to use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure those position requirements can be fully met.
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate a fire extinguisher and to manipulate bar and kitchen equipment, including blenders, mixers, ice machines, dishwashers, slicers, and knives.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Sound mental and physical health: ability to get along well with others, to demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest in people.

Working Conditions

Subject to moderate physical and emotional stress associated with food/beverage service. Performance of job tasks will involve exposure to cleaning chemicals requiring precautions. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
