What It's Like to Practice Here
Animal Medical Care Center & Cat Hospital is a well-established, multi-species practice where you'll have the opportunity to see interesting cases while practicing alongside an experienced, supportive team.
You'll see a varied caseload with regular opportunities to use your surgical and dental skills. If you're interested in exotics, you'll also have the opportunity to see birds, reptiles, and pocket pets — but exotics experience is not required.
This isn't a high-volume, high-pressure environment. Our doctors have the time, resources, and support to work cases up thoughtfully and practice medicine at a comfortable pace.
You'll have autonomy over your cases while working alongside a team that values collaboration and is readily available when you want another perspective.

We're looking for an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable with general surgery and dentistry and enjoys a varied caseload.

Responsibilities
- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery on animals
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases
- Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
- Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
