We are currently seeking an Education Manager to join our Human Resources Department. As an Education Manager, you’ll work directly with individuals to assess their needs, develop personalized care plans, and connect them with essential services and supports. Key Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises, manages and oversees staff, including hiring, firing and providing performance evaluations, and individual development goals and objectives.

  • Oversees high-risk situations or problematic cases; advises administration as appropriate; assists Clinical staff to address individuals and program concerns/complaints.

  • Participates in quality improvement activities, including but not limited to Quality Improvement Committee meetings, project teams, and monitoring productivity and tasks.

  • Develops and manages department budgets and staffing metrics.

  • Provides oversight to the orientation process, including conducting and attending orientation as necessary; ensures that all employees receive the appropriate orientation to meet the ongoing needs of the organization and the individual positions.

  • Manages the creation, integration and delivery of training materials to CareStar employees to meet the needs of CareStar, as well as the needs/requirements of programs which have a contract with CareStar.

  • Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.

  • Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.

  • Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.

  • Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Active/current license as a Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Independent Social Worker, Registered Nurse or a Bachelor’s Degree in business or a health-related field.

  • At least 36 months of experience in a home and community-based services environment is required; 24 months of experience in data analysis and/or data trending and/or accounting or financial analysis desirable.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise, instruct and mentor in a diverse work environment; effective oral and written communication skills with attention to detail in assessment and in documentation.

  • Exercises independent judgment and decision-making with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills; Excellent organizational practices with ability to multi-task; Familiarity with quality improvement processes.

  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance and waiver programs; extensive knowledge of community resources.

  • Available to meet the needs/requirements of employees, co-workers and individuals during CareStar standard business hours.

  • Ability to use computer programs to enter and process consumer information, report preparation and familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs.

  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.
