Job Description

Essential Functions- Job Duties: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following duties:

  • Ensures resident’s privacy, respect, dignity, and their rights are protected as per State and Federal regulations.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters pertaining to residents’ status.
  • Coordinates the transportation schedule for resident doctor appointments, ensuring that all residents arrive and depart from appointments in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates routes and number of appointments to maximize timeliness of transportation schedule.
  • Assists with getting residents ready for appointments, as needed, including getting coat on, bringing residents from their room, etc.
  • Communicate information to and from the doctors’ offices with Nursing Staff to ensure ease and clarity; this includes asking questions and delivering paperwork.
  • Performs routine audits on vehicles to ensure safety; reports needed repairs to Maintenance Department and others, as needed.
  • Drives company vehicles in a manner that reflects professionalism and compliance with all laws and regulations; represents Cardinal Senior Management to the community in a courteous, appropriate manner.
  • Assists in maintaining the facility and company vehicles in a safe and clean manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Secondary Functions- Job Duties: The following are secondary to the essential functions listed above:

  • Attend and participates in staff meetings, projects, special events, committees, and mandatory training as appropriate. Completes competency evaluations for training as required by the state or as assigned by their immediate supervisor, HR Director, or Executive Director.
  • Assists with scheduling of appointments and other functions as appropriate.
  • Follow all applicable state regulations.

Job Requirements

Education & Knowledge Requirements- Specific education, certification, and licensure:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent highly preferred

Essential Job-Related Experience/Abilities:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • At least 25 years of age
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Ability to walk continuously, bend frequently, and sit occasionally
  • Ability to complete and maintain documentation regarding a resident’s status
  • Ability to operate computer systems and phone systems.
  • Current First Aid and CPR/AED Certification, or willingness to be trained by Cardinal Senior Management during employment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
