Job Summary:
Rausch Sturm LLP is hiring a Full Stack Developer who leans frontend. You will own the interfaces our employees and consumers use — internal line-of-business applications, a consumer-facing cloud portal, and our public web presence — and you will build the ASP.NET Core endpoints behind them when the feature calls for it.
This is deliberately a multi-framework role. Our frontend estate is not standardized on a single stack, and we are not pretending otherwise: we run Blazor Server for internal apps, Angular for the consumer portal, Vue 3 + TypeScript for newer applications, and ASP.NET Core MVC/Razor for public marketing sites. We want someone who is genuinely strong in at least one modern component framework, curious enough to be productive in the others, and opinionated enough to help us consolidate over time.
Accessibility is a hard requirement here, not a nice-to-have. Every application we release is validated against WCAG 2.2 before it ships.
Expect a real mix of new development and ongoing maintenance. We move fast, priorities shift, and user-facing problems get escalated quickly — you will be pulled into support requests, urgent fixes, and help other teams alongside your planned work. We need someone who can pivot without losing the thread.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain internal business applications in Blazor Server (.NET 9) using the Radzen component library — data grids, forms, dashboards, and role-driven navigation.
- Develop features in our Angular 19 consumer-portal (Angular Material, RxJS, MSAL/JWT Auth, Application Insights Telemetry).
- Build modern Vue 3 + TypeScript applications with Vite, Pinia, Vue Router, Tailwind / DaisyUI, and Chart.js — including rich-text editing, charting, and workflow UIs.
- Write and maintain SCSS design foundations compiled through our Webpack/Sass to build and keep component styling consistent across products.
- Maintain public-facing ASP.NET Core MVC / Razor sites, including the firm's site and several affiliate sites.
- Build the backend when the feature requires it: ASP.NET Core controllers and minimal APIs, DTO/model design, EF Core or Dapper data access, and the T-SQL to support it.
- Integrate with our REST APIs through Azure API Management, handling authentication with Microsoft Entra ID / IdentityServer and bearer tokens.
- Meet WCAG 2.2 on every release — semantic markup, labeled controls, keyboard operability, contrast, and ARIA where it is genuinely needed. Validate with Lighthouse / axe-core before signing-off.
- Write tests: component and unit tests (Vitest, Jasmine/Karma, bUnit or equivalent) and meaningful coverage on the .NET side (xUnit / MSTest).
- Own responsive behavior and cross-browser correctness across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
- Maintain and improve existing applications across all four stacks — including code you did not write, and older applications still on prior framework versions. Ongoing maintenance is a permanent part of this role, not a temporary onboarding phase.
- Respond to user-reported defects and production escalations: reproduce, diagnose across the UI/API/data boundary, fix through the proper promotion path, and communicate status while it is in flight.
- Shift priorities as the business requires — supporting other development teams, assisting operations, or taking on an urgent request ahead of planned work.
- Participate in design discussions, code review, and the SDLC stage gates; resolve CodeQL and dependency-scan findings before promotion.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional frontend or full stack web development experience.
- Deep, production-level proficiency in at least one of: Blazor, Angular (v14+), or Vue 3 — plus real working familiarity with a second.
- Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES2020+): modules, async/await, strict equality, no var, clean component and state design.
- Strong HTML5 and CSS/SCSS fundamentals — flexbox, grid, responsive/mobile-first layouts, relative units, and maintainable stylesheet architecture without a preprocessor crutch.
- Demonstrated accessibility experience — you have shipped against WCAG (2.1 or 2.2) and can explain what an accessible form or data grid requires.
- Working C# / ASP.NET Core ability: you can build and debug the controller, service, and model layer behind your own UI.
- Comfortable reading and writing SQL against SQL Server.
- Experience consuming and debugging REST APIs, including token-based auth flows.
- Git with pull-request review discipline; comfortable in Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD.
- Secure frontend habits: no innerHTML for untrusted content, CSRF protection, no secrets in code, no PII in URLs or logs.
- Proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot applications you did not build, including older framework versions and lightly documented code.
- Track record of working effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities — comfortable being pulled into an escalation or another team's problem, and comfortable putting work down and picking it back up.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience, or prior ownership of a design system / shared component library.
- Experience across more than two of our frameworks — Blazor, Angular, Vue, Razor/MVC.
- Blazor specifics: Radzen, MudBlazor, or Telerik component libraries; interactive server render mode; SignalR circuit behavior and reconnection handling.
- Angular specifics: Angular Material and CDK, RxJS operators beyond the basics, standalone components, and major-version migration experience.
- Vue specifics: Composition API, Pinia, Vite build configuration, Vitest, TipTap, and Tailwind.
- UI/UX sensibility — you can take a rough requirement and produce something usable without waiting for a comp.
- Data visualization experience (Chart.js, OxyPlot, Power BI embedding).
- Frontend performance work: bundle size, lazy loading, render profiling.
- Experience in a regulated environment (PCI DSS, financial services, healthcare, legal).
- Familiarity with Azure App Service, Application Insights, and Azure API Management.

How we work: feature/bug/release/hotfix branching tied to work items, mandatory peer review (no self-approvals), automated SAST and accessibility validation before release, stakeholder-approved UAT, and release-manager approval for production.
The position is primarily an in Office
Schedule:
Standard business hours, Monday Through Friday with occasional evening and weekends for maintenance updates.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequently required to talk or hear, and use hand to type, handle, or touch objects.
- Regularly required to stand and walk, and may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times.
