The Part-Time Transportation Specialist provides safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for patients traveling to and from Capital Area Health Network (CAHN) facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort, assisting with boarding and exiting vehicles, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and readiness, and supporting efficient coordination of patient appointments.
The ideal candidate is dependable, courteous, safety-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service while supporting CAHN's mission of improving access to care.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Safely transport patients to and from CAHN locations
Assist patients with boarding, exiting, and transportation-related needs
Maintain clean, safe, and operational vehicles
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies
Communicate effectively with staff to support scheduling and patient care
Support departmental and organizational operations as needed
Schedule
Monday and Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Additional hours available based on operational needs

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous healthcare, transportation, or customer service experience preferred
Clean driving record preferred
CDL preferred but not required
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
