Your passion:

You must embrace the dual responsibilities of managing/developing the department team members and providing solutions to Church Management challenges.

 

You have the proven organizational and strategic skills to manage and lead a team that collaborate with the Church staff and volunteers to provide solutions for challenges normally associated with functions found in Church Management Systems Software. 

 

You enjoy developing solutions for Volunteer and Community Group engagement, Event and Children’s Checkin, Event and Class registrations, Giving Solutions, Mission Trip management, Background Checks and Contributions processing.

You will:

  • Oversee and coordinate the work of a small team of staff and volunteers, resources, and processes required to deliver the best church solutions for our support and ministry staff and volunteers.

  • Recruit and manage volunteers serving within the IT department, and assist with other IT departmental duties as needed.

  • Encourage team growth by fostering a healthy work environment, communicating job expectations, planning team objectives, and investing in the spiritual growth of each team member.

  • Consult with internal managers and end users to assess needs and support church goals and with experts to implement best practices in the area of ChMS and data science.

  • Be the “evangelist” for all things church management by being in constant communication with the staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, and any other stakeholders to help them use the software to its fullest.

  • Be the church management resident “expert”, ensuring that everyone is aware of and can successfully utilize the features of the church management system that will assist them to accomplish their specific ministry functions.

  • Develop and maintain a training program that comprises in-person mentoring, group training, video training, and/or fun email tips and tricks for new staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers.

  • Encourage adoption of the ChMS by providing all users with resources they need to use the system effectively.

  • Ensure the ChMS acts as the single source of truth by keeping its data/content up-to-date, accurate, and easy to use.

  • Evaluate the organization's data use and recommend improvements, such as coordination of ChMs upgrades and implementations, customizations to the ChMS applications and process changes.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reading related publications, listening to applicable podcasts, attending ChMS related conferences and establishing a professional network.



 

You Have:

  • Excellent organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills

  • A BS or BA degree or similar experience-based proficiency level

  • Spiritual gifts of: administration, discernment and service

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership, church attendees, volunteers, and vendors.

  • An open flexible schedule.

 

What you are required to know:

  • We are an EEO employer.

  • You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 lbs.

  • This is a full-time (40 hours/week) salary exempt position.

  • You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.
