About this role
The Groundkeeper maintains all greenery and landscaping throughout the property including all maintenance of planters and water systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain health, vitality and appearance of all shrubs, trees, and ornamental plants.
- Maintain and repair all sprinklers and waterlines associated with above areas.
- Groom all flower beds and exposed soil on a daily basis.
- Assist laborers, when needed, with large jobs.
- Must meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
Qualifications
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to hear in the full audible range in high noise conditions and possess average vision and color perception.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, and carry heavy loads, run level surfaces as well as up or down stairs.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must possess coordination and dexterity to drive power sweepers, forklifts, scissors lifts, and other equipment.
- Must be able to work in extremes of temperature in excess of 115 degrees or below 10 degrees.
- Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in emergency situations.
- Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation, and repair procedures of the property’s equipment.
