About this role

C2O Americas is seeking an experienced Instrument Commissioning Technician to join our team on a major industrial project. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the commissioning, calibration, and verification of instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal plant performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform instrument loop checks, calibration, and functional testing..
  • Support commissioning and startup of process control systems, transmitters, analyzers, and valves
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA/QC, and operations to verify system functionality and documentation accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and control issues during commissioning and handover phases.
  • Maintain detailed records of testing, calibration data, and redline markups for turnover documentation
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with project safety and quality standards.
  • Support system walkdowns and punch list closure during pre-commissioning and final handover

Requirements:

  • Valid TWIC card. 
  • 5+ years of experience in instrumentation commissioning or industrial I&E work.
  • Strong understanding of P&IDs, loop drawings, and control system architecture.
  • Experience with PLC/DCS systems, field devices, and control valves.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, LOTO, and permit systems, and plant safety procedures.
  • Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with complex problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working with DCS/PLC systems (e.g., Emerson, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Allen-Bradley).
