About this role
We are seeking a Detail Design Engineer to manage and maintain engineering drawing templates while ensuring compliance with quality standards and QMS requirements. The role includes preparing mechanical design drawings, developing AutoCAD drawings (P&IDs, schematics, GA, isometrics, fabrication, and installation), supporting bidding and project phases, and conducting site surveys.
- Degree or diploma in engineering/construction management or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years work experiences
- Extensive knowledge and experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Excellent technical drawing skills
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge in Revit, Navisworks, Advance Steel, Inventor is added advantage
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong creative and visualization skills
- Able to perform independently and support project team
- Good experience in water and wastewater treatment will be added advantage
- Administer, develop, maintain all related engineering drawing templates.
- To follow all Group quality directives and input and suggest improvements where relevant.
- To follow the company’s policy to ensure as much project scope as possible is kept within the Group.
- Ensure all the work task is following the requirement in the QMS system.
- Assist on detail drawing work as needed in a bidding and project phase.
- Prepare mechanical design drawing during basic and detail engineering.
- Prepares and develops drawings with AutoCAD for PID, Schematic diagram on process, GA drawing, Isometric Drawing, fabrication drawing, assembly drawing, installation drawing and manuals.
- Attend meeting with client from time to time subject to the project location.
- Carry out site survey in order to gain required information and/or verification of existing or new plant documentation as and when it is needed.
- Carry out and ensure good filing system for electronic and hard copy documents and is easily retrievable.
- Liaise with process engineering, fabrication, and project department in order to have a more competitive and precise design and costing.
- Maintain effective communication with all internal and external relevant disciplines to continue the improvement plan for the basic and detail engineering work.
- Able to travel and stay short term on project site when needed.
