Broadband Telecom Services is a full-service telecommunications construction contracting company with multiple locations throughout the state of Texas.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Aerial Lead is responsible for leading one or more aerial telecommunications construction crews and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and company standards. This position provides day-to-day field leadership, supports crew development, coordinates materials and equipment, and helps maintain productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous telecommunications construction lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of telecommunications construction, including aerial equipment, utility lines and poles, and bucket trucks.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and construction prints.
- Proficient in using computers, smartphones, and Penguin software.
- Ability to plan, organize, and complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to effectively track the progress and quality of fiber construction projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and provide general assistance to other employees as directed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS – INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
- Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, development, and safety guidance to assigned employees.
- Lead aerial telecommunications construction activities and ensure work is performed according to project requirements.
- Maintain materials and equipment in an organized, clean, safe, and properly functioning condition.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service through the execution of BTS’s mission and values.
- Maintain open communication with the direct supervisor and management team to address and resolve issues in a timely manner and support productivity.
- Represent and support a professional company image through professional conduct and appearance at all times.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Assume responsibility for job productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of assigned projects.
- Ensure all personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, and company work policies.
- Operate and safely transport company vehicles and equipment as required, in accordance with applicable DOT and company requirements.
EDUCATION & LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must meet and maintain all applicable DOT and company driver requirements.
LANGUAGE / MATHEMATICAL SKILLS & REASONING ABILITY
- Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
- Must possess the ability to understand instructions, identify problems, and apply sound judgment in the field.
REASONING ABILITY & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work aloft and perform aerial telecommunications construction duties.
- Must have manual dexterity and the ability to safely utilize various hand tools and test equipment.
- Must be able to drive a truck or van, including vehicles equipped with an aerial lift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to use a computer and smartphone to read, update, and communicate information from construction prints.
- Must be able to kneel, crawl, push, pull, bend, stoop, lift, and dig.
- Must meet and maintain the Company’s safe weight policy.
