Maintenance Technician – Hope, AR
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. If you have strong electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and electrical control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform electrical work including motors, drives, sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Work closely with production personnel to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
Essential Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Industrial Maintenance degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and automated production systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
