Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid)

Brellium is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid) to design and scale the core systems powering an AI-driven medical review platform. This role is central to supporting rapid growth and improving patient care across the U.S. You’ll tackle complex, high-impact engineering challenges with ownership and collaboration across product and engineering.
What youll do
- Design and build highly scalable, fault-tolerant AWS-based systems to support Brellium’s growth.
- Implement AI-powered workflows to automate and optimize clinical data processing across thousands of providers.
- Mentor and elevate junior engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on leadership.
- Work closely with product to translate business problems into simple, effective system designs that raise the bar on quality and speed.
What Brellium is looking for
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Experience in B2B SaaS environments.
- Background in healthcare or life sciences industry.
- Backend generalist with systems design skills (data extraction/document processing/API systems and architecture decisions).
- Experience with AWS infrastructure.
- At least 2 years in a high-growth, venture-backed start-up (scaling from pre-Series A to Series B+).
- Hybrid work schedule (4 days onsite in NYC).
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Has owned and delivered high-impact engineering projects end-to-end.
