About this role
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable team member to join our EEC-licensed afterschool program. Our program operates Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–6:00 PM and follows the school-year calendar.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Leading and or supervising children in group activities (both indoor and outdoor)
● Supervise students during all aspects of the afterschool program including arrival,
transitions, homework, snack, bathrooms, outdoor play and dismissal
● Set up and breakdown of materials each day
● Assisting with snacks
● Interact and build relationships with students
● Work with the After School Program Director to ensure all processes and protocols are
followed.
● Working cooperatively with other after school staff.
● Participate in all staff training/orientation prior to start of program (August)
● Available to participate in monthly site based staff meetings
● Manage student behavior in accordance with BRCPS school day/afterschool policy
Qualifications:
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Exceptional work ethic
● Ability to create a warm, welcoming and positive culture
● Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
● Has experience and enjoys working with school aged children
● Reliable, prompt, organized, efficient and self-motivated.
Hours: 3:30pm- 6:00pm
Group Leader: $50 per day
