The BODYBAR Pilates Lead Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the Regional Studio Manager in generating new members and retaining existing members through sales and customer service responsibilities. The Lead Sales Associate (SA) is a part-time position (25-30 hours per week) that reports to the Regional Studio Manager (RSM).
The following are the Lead Sales Associate role and responsibilities, but delegation and working in conjunction with the talented SA team will be expected in order to complete all responsibilities and empower the team and build team engagement. Final approval and accountability will remain with the Lead SA.
Lead Sales Associate Responsibilities
- Assists in the planning and execution of membership growth and retention strategies
- Achieve monthly membership and retail sales goals
- Assists the RSM in supporting and guiding the Sales Associates in achieving their sales goals
- Serves as the first point of contact for Sales Associate questions and concerns

- Reaching out to past or inactive members, class pack holders, previous trial members, frozen account holders, etc
- Conducting daily audits of the outreach calendar
- Process membership changes, including upgrades, downgrades, freezes, and cancellations
- Create monthly newsletter
- Create promotional materials for themed classes and events
- Use Canva to make flyers, TV slides, Instagram story posts, newsletter graphics, etc.
- Train SA team to help in creation of social media and promo materials
- Assist with onboarding and training new Sales Associates
- Attends community and networking events to represent BODYBAR
- Assist with the planning, marketing, execution, and staffing of studio and community events
- Create and manage the Sales Associate schedule
- Collaborate with the Regional Studio Manager on monthly staff meeting agendas
- Draft occasional promotional emails
- Manage studio phone, iPad, Google Suite, and computer storage
- Work with the Lead Instructor on weekly deep cleaning of the studio and equipment
- Work a minimum of two Sales Associate shifts per week
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Studio Manager
General Sales Associate Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist members in the studio by creating a community at the studio through engagement with members before and after class
- Implement the studio sales process, including lead generation, management, and conversion of new members/memberships:
- Manage memberships and provide information about classes and services
- Carry out member retention tasks
- Class/Member bookings
- Participate in community events to promote the studio
- Achieve sales quotas by interacting with members and guests, getting to know them, and helping find items they like or might want to try
- Achieve and maintain a clean and inviting studio environment by completing daily shift cleaning tasks
Qualifications
- Goal-oriented with an ability to generate membership, retail, and private training sales
- Values teamwork, collaboration, and taking initiative
- Is resourceful and a problem solver
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills in-person, via phone, and email
- Passionate about fitness
- Professional, trustworthy, and punctual
- Proficient with computers and studio software
- High school degree
- Some college education is preferred
- Ability to cover all shift types/schedules will be necessary at times
