Job Description:
A warehouse supervisor is experienced in managing space and layout of the warehouse, managing and controlling the workflow from inbound to outbound with accuracy and efficiency, and creating a safe environment for warehouse employees and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance warehouse space utilization through strategic planning and ongoing improvements to the layout. Ensure the security, organization, and cleanliness of warehouse space and equipment.
Oversee inventory management processes by sorting and organizing inventory to maintain accuracy.
Manage daily tasks and ensure an efficient workflow from inbound to outbound operations, striving for high-quality output.
Supervise warehouse staff by selecting, training, coaching, positioning, assigning tasks, planning, monitoring performance, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
Ensure the safety of warehouse inventory and operations by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing safety procedures and protocols. Guide the team lead in conducting routine inspections of warehouse equipment and promptly arranging necessary repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
Proactively plan and execute strategies to achieve overall operational goals set by senior management, while providing feedback for procedure improvement.
Qualifications:
Experience with inventory management and cycle counting, with a strong focus on inventory accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, coach, and motivate warehouse employees and effectively assign daily responsibilities.
Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and workplace safety practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with warehouse employees, team leads, management, and other departments
