Social Hybrid Editor (1 Year Contract)
The Blue Ant Media Social Hybrid Editor will support the Channel Leads across our suite of YouTube channels. This role will work cross-functionally across a segment of channels to implement and optimize social video content, create thumbnails, create copy and support audience engagement strategy.
This role will report into the Channel Lead and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 per year, with final compensation determined by experience and qualifications.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Edit, upload, and optimize weekly digital content, including scene-lifts, full-length episodes, compilations, and create mobile-first content, on YouTube and tertiary social platforms.
- Collaborate with the Channel Leads to develop monthly editorial calendars and enhance social media engagement across YouTube and tertiary social platforms.
- Utilize various content formats, such as gifs and polls, to create interactive and engaging community content. Maintain active community management and promptly respond to audience comments across platforms.
- Package and schedule original content from production companies, ensuring adherence to quality standards in terms of technical aspects, exploitation rights and content strategy. Efficiently manage folders and files.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and possess an understanding of content ownership rights. Adhere diligently to program contracts while creating and publishing content for each platform.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a social producer/editor role
- High proficiency in video editing & design (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop).
- Strong knowledge of and experience with YouTube.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and methods for measuring success through data.
- Comfortable with Excel and Google Sheets.
- Superior organizational and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
