About this role
What you will do:
Architect and build the agentic orchestration/integration layer, contributing hands-on alongside the team
Own product vision and roadmap, prioritizing requests across teams and setting scope boundaries
Hire, manage, and mentor the Lux engineering team; establish sprint, on-call, and incident practices
Set technical standards, review processes, and own architectural risk/debt
Serve as primary technical/product point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders
Oversee development of machine learning solutions through all phases of application lifecycles from problem mapping and scoping to data gathering and preparation to optimizing model performance.
Partner with product and other teams to plan and develop roadmaps that ensure maximum impact with team and company resources.
Ensure high standards of technical development are adhered to including observability, stability, scalability, security, performance, and cost effectiveness.
Guide the team on modern machine learning and software development best practices and technical direction while providing hands-on development and problem-solving assistance.

Lead special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
You need to have:
Master’s or PhD in related field or equivalent work experience.
3 years’ experience and/or commensurate skills with an object-oriented programming language such as Java or Python, ML/AI frameworks, libraries, data structures and data modeling techniques.
3 years of software development experience and/or commensurate skills building commercial and ML applications.
Experience in all phases of machine learning application lifecycles from problem mapping and scoping to data gathering and preparation to optimizing model performance.
Either project or team leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
Working experience with DevOps, CICD, and infrastructure as code.
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing orchestration layers for agentic or multi-system integrations
- Exposure to Bloomberg data products, enterprise data ecosystems, or financial services industry
Compensation Range:
$165,000.00-$205,000.00Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
