About this role

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  •  Place, finish, protect, repair, rub, and patch concrete on commercial construction projects.
  •  Perform architectural concrete wall patching and rubbing to achieve specified appearance and finish requirements.
  •  Assist with concrete placement, consolidation, and finishing operations as needed.
  •  Set concrete forms and ensure they are constructed to the correct depth, alignment, and pitch.
  •  Inspect forms to verify they are properly built and secured before concrete placement.
  •  Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds, and floats.
  •  Monitor weather conditions, including wind, heat, and cold, and adjust finishing and curing methods accordingly.
  •  Cut out damaged concrete, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and install reinforcing steel for concrete repairs using power tools.
  •  Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, embeds, and other fixtures in freshly placed concrete.
  •  Apply decorative finishes, patterns, or stamped surfaces when required.
  •  Mix cement, sand, water, and other materials to produce concrete, grout, or slurry using hand tools or concrete-mixing equipment.
  •  Maintain quality standards, including achieving a concrete flatness tolerance of 1/8" over 10'-0".
  •  Follow all project safety requirements and company policies.

Job Requirements:

  •  High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  •  Minimum 3 years of commercial concrete finishing experience.
  •  Experience rubbing and patching architectural concrete walls required.
  •  Experience with concrete placement and finishing operations.
  •  Ability to achieve flatness tolerances of 1/8" over 10'-0".
  •  Commercial carpentry experience is a plus.
  •  Must meet all project-specific security requirements.
  •  Ability to work safely in a commercial construction environment and perform physically demanding tasks.
