Summary

Join our payroll team as a Payroll Clerk, responsible for daily data entry and assisting in accurate and timely weekly payroll processing. This role is critical to ensuring the precision of payroll records in a rapidly growing organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform daily payroll department operations efficiently.
Manage workflows to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions.
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
Ensure proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.
Process and comply with garnishments and child support calculations.
Prepare accurate and timely year-end payroll reports when necessary.
Develop financial and operational reports as needed.
Calculate back pay and make check corrections.
Address employee and employer payroll inquiries through research and resolution.

Qualifications

Education: Associate degree in Business or Accounting required.
Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

Experience

4–6 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing.
Strong understanding of child support income withholding orders (IWOs) and garnishments.

Skills and Knowledge

Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other PC applications.
Familiarity with Paycom Payroll Software preferred.
