About this role
In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

Serve as a Student Stage Manager for the entire process of a production, including rehearsals, technical and dress rehearsals, and performances.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend all rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances
Collaborate with Director to create and distribute a daily rehearsal schedule
Collaborate with Playwright to format and distribute script changes, if applicable
Lead the team in daily set-up and reset of rehearsal studio
Create and maintain clear paperwork for production, including props/scenery tracking, entrances/exits,
quick change information, and other paperwork deemed necessary by creative collaborators
During rehearsal:
Assists in supervising student cast and crew members.
Assists in setting up for and cleaning up after each rehearsal. This will typically require arrival 30 minutes prior to the rehearsal start time and staying 15 minutes after the rehearsal has ended.
Assists in organizing paperwork including props/scenery tracking, entrances/exits, quick change information, and other paperwork deemed necessary by creative collaborators.
During the tech and performance for main stage shows:
Assists in training the student crew. This includes helping them learn the show, assigning tasks, and maintaining proper backstage etiquette.
Assists with creation of and distributes all props tracking/backstage run sheets as requested.
Assists with strike after the final performance.
Other duties as needed or required by the production.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Prior stage management experience is helpful but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
Interest in learning professional stage management practices
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Reads music (preferred)
CPR/First aid certification (preferred)
