About the Opportunity

St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a collegial and experienced anesthesiology team serving patients across St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital. The anesthesiology group is a cohesive and highly respected team of 28 anesthesiologists and more than 50 advanced practice providers, working together to deliver outstanding perioperative care. Anesthesiologists play a vital role in caring for patients, with opportunities for involvement in complex and high-acuity cases.

Position Details

  • Diverse mix of cases including, Cardiac, heavy ortho, general surgery, endo, neuro, spine, vascular, Robotics, OB, trauma, etc. No OB
  • Shared call responsibilities among the team - CV call night call 1:5, 5P-7A, M-F; 24/HR call on weekends

  • Average annual cardiac volume – 750 open hearts and 150 structural

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Completion of (or current enrollment in) an ACGME-accredited Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship or equivalent advanced cardiac anesthesia training
  • Current active Florida license and DEA or the ability to obtain prior to start
  • Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
