This position is primarily responsible for the supervision of the clinic support staff, and operation of a multi-specialty health clinic. This position will report to, and collaborate with, the Clinic Manager/Department Manager to handle daily operations, as they relate to their area of supervision.

Essential Responsibilities

Direct supervision of the clinic support staff, including, but not limited to, Dental Assistants, Medical Assistants, Community Healthcare Workers, Healthcare Associates, etc…
Manage staff‘s daily job responsibilities and work schedules and provide support as needed to meet staffing needs
Ensure safety, emergency preparedness, hazardous materials, waste management, and environment of care standards are met
Assist Clinic Manager/ Department Manager in developing and training clinic support staff, aligned with the standard operating procedure and BACH standards
Perform and host audits at regular intervals to meet regulatory standards and address findings in partnership with Clinic Manager or Department Manager
Manage incident reports and oversee risk management interventions and protocols
Maintain accurate time and attendance records
Partner with Clinic Manager or Department Manager to recruit, interview, orient, train, and mentor staff
Daily oversight of patient scheduling and template monitoring to aid in maximization of provider utilization
Monitor appointments, patient flow, cycle times, and waiting areas to improve daily productivity
Assist Clinic Manager or Department Manager in documentation and resolution of patient complaints
Initiate staff coaching and work with manager on corrective action issues
Exhibit excellent customer service and patient care skills. Interact in a friendly, professional manner with a wide range of patients, operations staff, providers, and other departments, both internally and externally
Serve as primary clinic point of contact in Clinic Manager or Department Manager’s absence
Supervise the quality and timely completion of daily, weekly, or monthly logs, such as crash cart checks (including AED and Oxygen Tank), medication inventories, calibration logs, eyewash station, sterilization, lead apron, amalgam, dosimeters, hazardous and medication waste, and autoclave spore tests.
Manage patient appointment reminder calls, point of service copay collections, Work Queues, and reduce no show metrics.
Manage employee performance and complete performance evaluations on a timely basis
Manage clinic supplies, vaccines, and equipment maintenance and repair to ensure no shortages or outages, or unused expired vaccines, supplies, or material
Other duties assigned by Clinic Manager or Department Manager

Secondary Responsibilities

Attends workshops, trainings, and meetings as needed or requested
Performs other duties as assigned by Clinic Manager or Department Manager

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma

Possess strong organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Competent in the use and comprehension of basic medical/dental terminology
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet clinic needs, including evenings and weekends
Ability to travel to multiple work sites
EPIC experience

Preferred

College Education

Medical Assistant, Registered Dental Assistant, Medical Administration, or equivalent certification or licensure
Leadership or supervisory experience
Bilingual

Physical Demands

This position requires

Sitting, walking, and standing associated with a normal medical, clinical and administrative office environment, with some bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity for tasks involving standard office equipment and computer keyboard, including repetitive movements, such as typing.
Traveling to work sites, including some exposure to outside elements.
Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations, requiring adherence to extensive safety precautions and possibly the use of protective equipment.
