Join our Toyota Heavy Duty Team as a Maintenance Technician 2
The Role:
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Maintenance Tech 2 who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, you’ll perform maintenance and repair activities on the facility and equipment, including but not limited to electrical and mechanical operations, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with machining centers, fabrication equipment, or similar industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC mechanical systems, including ball screws, linear rails, lubrication systems, rack and pinions, gearboxes, and spindles.
- Knowledge of mechanical components, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, and other power transmission equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and hydraulic controls.
- Ability to apply existing mechanical and technical knowledge to new or unfamiliar equipment.
- Strong commitment to following company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and applicable safety requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and other automated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC mechanical systems and related components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot industrial hydraulic systems.
- Perform machinery alignments, leveling, rigging, and equipment relocations.
- Support the installation, startup, commissioning, and continuous improvement of new and existing equipment.
- Work closely with Production Engineering and Manufacturing teams to minimize equipment downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Requirements
- Fast-paced individual willing to cross-train
- Experience with industrial mechanics, machining centers, and hydraulics
- Strong mechanical background
Where and When You’ll Work:
- This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with occasional overtime and alternating on-call weekends

Compensation: $35 - $37/hour based on experience.
