Ball State University is seeking Temporary Gymnastics Camp Coaches to assist with the instruction, supervision, and development of participants attending gymnastics camps and clinics. This position provides age-appropriate coaching and skill instruction for youth ages 5-18 while helping create a safe, positive, and engaging camp environment.Qualifying candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Position Summary:
The Temporary Gymnastics Camp Coach assists with the instruction, supervision, and development of participants attending gymnastics camps and clinics. This position provides age-appropriate coaching and skill instruction for youth ages 5-18 while helping create a safe, positive, and engaging camp environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide gymnastics instruction and skill development for camp participants ages 5-18.
Assist with planning and conducting daily camp activities, drills, and training sessions.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by enforcing camp rules and proper training techniques.
Supervise participants during camp activities, breaks, and transitions.
Demonstrate and teach fundamental through advanced gymnastics skills appropriate to participants' age and ability levels.
Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
Assist with setup, breakdown, and organization of gymnastics equipment and facilities.
Respond appropriately to injuries, emergencies, or behavioral concerns and report incidents to camp leadership.
Represent the University and Gymnastics program in a professional manner at all times.
Perform other camp-related duties as assigned by the Head Gymnastics Coach.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience participating in, coaching, or instructing gymnastics.
Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents ages 5-18.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow safety protocols and camp policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate gymnastics experience.
Previous camp, coaching, or youth instruction experience.
CPR, First Aid, and/or SafeSport certification.
Working Conditions:
Temporary, seasonal position.
Requires standing, spotting athletes, demonstrating skills, and assisting with camp activities for extended periods.
May require lifting, moving, and setting up gymnastics' equipment.
Work is performed primarily in a gymnasium or athletic facility.
Requires successful completion of a background check.
