Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for assembling products and components in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an on-site hourly position, and the regular workweek is 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays and additional hours as required by business needs.

RectorSeal manufactures and/or distributes a variety of mechanical products for the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing industries.  For over 80 years, RectorSeal’s customers have depended on us for quality products with excellent value, shipped to them in a timely manner. This passion for excellent customer service is the reason RectorSeal has been growing at a very fast pace and now requires additional shift capacity to meet customer demand.

  • 10-hour shift (6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
  • Monday to Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble products, parts, or components according to work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery safely and efficiently (experience required)
  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Report defective parts or materials to supervisors immediately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Meet daily production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, diagrams, and basic measurements
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to handle small parts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 25 lbs

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environment (preferred but not required)

Competencies and Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities

Work Environment:  

  • Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and moving equipment
  • Requires the use of safety equipment such as safety glasses
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented setting

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
