Job Overview:

The Inventory-Receiving Lead will coordinate members of the teams in maintaining an accurate count of inventory levels within the facility as well as ensuring that all inbound stock is received and processed properly. This position will involve frequent communication with the Procurement, Operations, and Shipping teams, as well as representatives for incoming 3rd party vendors. This is an on-site hourly position and requires a daily presence at our RectorSeal Spenwick facility. The work schedule is as follows: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, with additional hours during peak times and year-end.

RectorSeal manufactures and/or distributes a variety of mechanical products for the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing industries.  For over 80 years, RectorSeal’s customers have depended on us for quality products with excellent value, shipped to them in a timely manner.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Run inventory reports in JDE to help identify, count, and correct any inventory discrepancies.
  • Set up and run assigned cycle counts in JDE for the Inventory Team.
  • Oversee processing of incoming shipments to ensure prompt and accurate intake into the system, coordinating with Procurement Team as necessary
  • Distribute daily responsibilities to Receiving Team members in accordance with item throughput needs
  • Balance adequate accessible stock levels between local warehouses for production and shipping use
  • Run variance reports and assign recounts for the Inventory Team.
  • Operate RF scanners to enter cycle count data and investigate discrepancies.
  • Communicate with drivers or trucking companies as needed.
  • Ensure material on the floor is properly packaged and stored to prevent damage.
  • Work in collaboration with Manufacturing, and Shipping to locate missing products.
  • Periodically perform audits for Cycle Count Team and Receiving Material Handlers.
  • Help identify issues and provide recommendations for improvements that prevent inventory variances.
  • Assist with the recording and disposition of damaged products.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Function as support to the Receiving and Inventory Supervisor and perform other related duties as directed.

Preferred Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Certification in the operation of a forklift truck
  • ERP system experience

Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and scissor-lift
  • Must have high-quality standards, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Solid work history that demonstrates reliability and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Adaptable and easily adjusts to changing work conditions with a positive attitude.

Work Environment

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
