Job Summary

AX9 Security is looking for a reliable and dependable Security Officer to join our team at a school location in Hoboken, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors while providing a professional and friendly presence throughout the school.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–6:30 PM

Location: Hoboken, NJ

Responsibilities

Monitor school entrances and exits during school hours.
Verify visitor identification and enforce access control procedures.
Conduct routine patrols of the school campus and grounds.
Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, and safety concerns.
Build positive relationships with students, faculty, and parents.
Report suspicious activity and complete detailed incident reports.
Work closely with school administration and local law enforcement when necessary.
Assist with arrival, dismissal, and special school events.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.

Valid Security Officer License

Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
CPR/AED certification is a plus.
