Be a part of our mission-driven Health Services team, dedicated to the well-being of Aurora's diverse community. As an itinerant nurse, you'll be the primary nurse for 1-2 elementary schools, with the opportunity to flex across the district and make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities

  • Manage student health records, medication administration, and emergency action plans
  • Develop individualized health care plans and support IEP/504 teams
  • Conduct mandated vision and hearing screenings
  • Train and delegate tasks to unlicensed school staff
  • Serve as a trusted health resource for students, families, and staff
  • Collaborate with community providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Implement health initiatives and special projects district-wide
  • Support schools with the greatest need and provide additional nursing coverage
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (3 years)
  • Active Colorado RN license
  • Colorado Special Services Provider license or eligibility
  • Current CPR certification
  • 3+ years of clinical experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (strongly preferred)
  • School or pediatric nursing experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for student health and well-being
