We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our Options Homeschool program, a supplemental initiative designed to support students' learning journeys. As a part-time teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to our middle and high school students, offering them a unique and flexible learning experience. This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to middle and high school students in a homeschool setting.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic growth.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Collaborate with the homeschool program team to align teaching methods and curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment, addressing any student behavioral issues promptly.
- Stay informed about current educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching strategies.
Qualifications
- Valid teaching license or certification for middle/high school education.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a homeschool or alternative education setting.
- Strong subject matter expertise in the relevant middle/high school curriculum areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and parents.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic homeschool program team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of homeschool students.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning.
