Coordinates activities of Receiving Inspection personnel by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Able to perform duties of Receiving Inspection Specialist.
- Works with the suppliers when inbound component quality issues are discovered. Drives corrective action when necessary.
- Works with the Engineering group to develop and implement Receiving Inspection criteria.
- Adjusts work procedures to meet the needs of the production department.
- Verifies the daily gauge mastering sheets and forklift checks are being performed.
- Adjusts work schedules of receiving personnel as necessary to accommodate inbound truck scheduling.
- Recommends and implements continuous improvement measures for equipment performance, and quality of product in all materials processes.
- Implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Assists workers in solving work problems.
- Assists in implementing plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Completes requisitions and audits materials.
- Performs activities of workers supervised, including forklift operations.
- Serves as Fire Warden in case of evacuation of area.
- Maintains records regarding time and attendance.
- Responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the TS 16949, MMOG/LE and ISO 14001 systems.
- Maintain a Quality work environment, including good housekeeping (i.e. 5S)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Receiving Inspection employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two (2) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate. Will need to become proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and time keeping software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
