Position Summary

The PT Therapist provides group therapy for clients in an Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization mental health facility. This position is dedicated entirely to group therapy and does not carry an individual caseload. The Therapist facilitates two to three 50-minute groups each morning, Monday through Friday, at either the PHP or IOP level of care.

Our program uses an established, DBT-informed curriculum that provides structure while allowing clinicians to bring their own clinical strengths, interests, creativity, and therapeutic style. Groups may include DBT skills, psychoeducation, somatic and experiential interventions, therapeutic discussion, and peer support. We also value clinicians who can think on their feet, get creative, and confidently adapt when unexpected needs arise.

The ideal candidate is an engaging and confident facilitator who is comfortable speaking in front of a group, communicating clinical concepts clearly, and using appropriate humor and other dynamic engagement strategies to maintain attention and therapeutic focus. This is a highly collaborative role with the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships and see clients’ growth through consistent daily contact.

Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization: Maintains frequent and close working relationships with clinical, admissions, and leadership team members throughout the organization.

Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clients and families, clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as needed.
